Conor Daly has secured his ride for another shot at Indianapolis 500 glory, announcing his return to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for the 2026 edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
The Noblesville native will pilot the No. 23 Chevrolet in his 13th attempt to qualify for the Indy 500. Daly reunites with DRR after previously driving for the team in 2024, joining Jack Harvey as the organization's two-car entry for the May classic.
"Having a chance to go racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway again at the Indy 500 with DRR means the world to me," Daly said in a news release. "I love this event. I can't wait to get back in the car, and I appreciate the chance that Dennis and everyone at Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has given me to do the job I enjoy."
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing operates as a part-time IndyCar outfit, focusing exclusively on the Indianapolis 500. Both Daly and Harvey have spent the early part of the 2026 season working as commentators for Fox and IndyCar's social media channels, covering IndyCar and Indy NXT events.
Irish building materials company Kingspan will serve as the primary sponsor for Daly's entry. The partnership represents a significant commitment from the international corporation to support the veteran driver's championship aspirations.
"We've set some high goals with the No. 23. We want to win this race together, and I appreciate that Kingspan has come on board for the biggest race in the world," Daly continued. "We appreciate their support for this effort to chase after that nice cold glass of milk in the winner's circle."
The announcement comes after Daly completed a full-time campaign with Juncos Hollinger Racing in 2025, where he finished 18th in the series standings. Throughout his IndyCar career, the Indiana native has demonstrated remarkable versatility, competing in the Indy 500 for seven different teams over the years.
Team owner Dennis Reinbold expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and the potential for success with their experienced driver lineup.
"We are excited to partner with Kingspan to field our No. 23 entry for Conor in this year's Indy 500," said Dennis Reinbold, owner of Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. "Kingspan is a world leader in its field, and we are pleased to team them up with Conor and a strong DRR team this year."
Reinbold emphasized the team's championship ambitions and highlighted their previous competitive performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
"Conor has been a contender to win the biggest race in the world on several occasions, and we want to put him, Kingspan and our squad in the IMS winner's circle on May 24," Reinbold continued. "We were top contenders in last year's event, and we are ready to reach the ultimate goal this year."
Daly's confirmation brings the total number of announced drivers for the 2026 Indianapolis 500 to 30. He joins an exclusive group of 500-only entries that includes Harvey, Ryan Hunter-Reay with Arrow McLaren, Ed Carpenter with Ed Carpenter Racing, and three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves with Meyer Shank Racing.
With the Indianapolis 500 scheduled for May 24, teams will begin preparations in earnest as the racing world turns its attention to the most prestigious event in American motorsport. Daly's experience and DRR's proven competitiveness at Indianapolis Motor Speedway could make them a formidable combination in the quest for victory.
