Loic Serra, who previously served as the performance director at Mercedes, will be stepping into the head of chassis performance engineering role at Ferrari starting October 1. Reporting directly to technical chief Enrico Cardile, Serra will bring extensive experience from his time with Mercedes, where he had advanced through numerous vehicle dynamics roles before his promotion.
Serra's journey into F1 began as an engineer at Michelin, and he made his way to the BMW Sauber operation at the end of 2006. He explained, "Each team has its own challenges, and I'm looking forward to tackling those at Ferrari."
