In addition to the front wing, Ferrari rolled out new turning vanes under the chassis. This addition mirrors an update seen last year in Austin, with a shift from two elements to three in the new design. "All in order to improve the car’s aero balance," the spokesperson added, highlighting the team’s emphasis on optimizing performance as they navigate the rigors of the Suzuka layout.

Over at McLaren, similar levels of innovation were apparent as they continued to refine their MP4-31. "We are using the new front wing, which we debuted in Malaysia, now with much wider slots between all 10 elements," noted a team representative. The adjustments extend to the footstep area, which has been broadened just inside the endplate, underscoring McLaren's commitment to enhancing aerodynamic efficiency on the circuit.
As the teams move forward in the season, the pressure to innovate is paramount, especially on a track as iconic as Suzuka. The modifications made by Ferrari and McLaren may well play a pivotal role as they vie for critical points in the championship standings.
