A figure synonymous with success, Newey boasts an unparalleled legacy, having steered teams to 25 world championships. His arrival at Aston Martin represents not just a personal venture but a commitment to the team’s ambitious future within Formula One.

In reflecting on his decision to join Aston Martin, Newey expressed his enthusiasm: "I am thrilled to be joining the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. I have been hugely inspired and impressed by the passion and commitment that Lawrence brings to everything he is involved with."

The designer's decision was influenced by a tour of Aston Martin's state-of-the-art AMR Technology Campus, which he described as a decisive factor in his choice. The facility epitomizes the team's aspirations, equipped with cutting-edge resources that promise to elevate their performance.

"Lawrence is determined to create a world-beating team. He is the only majority team owner who is actively engaged in the sport," Newey noted, highlighting Stroll's direct involvement in the team's operations.

With Newey on board, Aston Martin is poised for a substantial transformation, particularly with the upcoming technical regulation changes in 2026, alongside integrating Honda power units and utilizing advanced fuels provided by Aramco.

Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, expressed immense pride in securing Newey's services, stating, "This is huge news. Adrian is the best in the world at what he does – he is at the top of his game – and I am incredibly proud that he is joining the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. It's the biggest story since the Aston Martin name returned to the sport and another demonstration of our ambition to build a Formula One team capable of fighting for world championships."

Stroll emphasized the urgency of the collaboration, noting, "As soon as Adrian became available, we knew we had to make it happen. Our initial conversations confirmed that there was a shared desire to collaborate in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

The partnership clearly aligns with Aston Martin's goals, as Stroll remarked on the strategic significance of Newey's expertise: "Adrian shares our hunger and ambition, he believes in this project, and he will help us write the next chapter in Aston Martin Aramco's Formula One story."

Looking ahead, Newey's collaboration with key partners like Honda and Aramco signals a comprehensive strategy to position Aston Martin as a championship contender. He remarked on the importance of the infrastructure upgrades, stating, "Together with great partners like Honda and Aramco, they have all the key pieces of infrastructure needed to make Aston Martin a world championship-winning team and I am very much looking forward to helping reach that goal."

Both Stroll and Newey's excitement around this new chapter at Aston Martin suggests a transformative journey ahead as the team seeks to harness Newey's design acumen to solidify its place among the frontrunners in Formula One.
