The 2025 Formula 1 season showcased not only an electrifying battle for the Drivers’ Championship but also a dramatic shift in the Constructors’ standings. The McLaren team emerged as the dominant force, winning a remarkable 14 races throughout the season, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri contributing equally. With a combined effort that sent them to the podium over 30 times, McLaren amassed a staggering total of 833 points, improving by over 150 points from their previous season.
Following McLaren was Mercedes, finishing second in the standings with 469 points. Although this was only a single point improvement over their 2024 performance, it was enough to elevate them by two spots in the Constructors’ Championship. "We were consistent this year, and that helped us climb the ranks despite not winning as many races as we hoped," commented a spokesperson from Mercedes.

Red Bull Racing maintained their third-place position in the standings, securing 451 points, which reflected a reduction in total points compared to their previous season. Even with fewer points, the Milton Keynes-based team demonstrated resilience in holding their ground from 2024.
In stark contrast, the Scuderia Ferrari team experienced a disheartening season. The Maranello-based squad dropped from second place in 2024, where they deposited 652 points, to fourth place in 2025 with only 398 points. "This year was tough, and we need to regroup and find our way back to the top," lamented a Ferrari team representative.
Williams Racing stood out as the most notable climber, finishing fifth with a splendid haul of 137 points. This was a staggering increase of 120 points from their modest 17 in 2024, showcasing the team's impressive turnaround. "We worked hard throughout the season to improve our performance, and it really paid off," said a jubilant Williams driver in an interview after the season.
The Racing Bulls similarly made substantial strides, collecting 92 points to secure sixth place, a significant rise from their previous year’s total of 58 points which had only placed them in eighth. "This upward trajectory is exactly what we were aiming for," expressed a member of the team post-season.
In comparison, Aston Martin saw a decline, finishing seventh with 89 points, a small step back from the 94 points they had earned the year before, which awarded them a fifth-place finish. A team spokesperson mentioned, "We faced some unexpected challenges this year, but we are determined to bounce back stronger."
Haas, on the other hand, recorded more points in 2025 than the previous year, scoring 79 points; however, they fell one position lower in the overall standings. Despite the numerical improvement, the team was unable to capitalize on their performance as effectively as they would have hoped.
The Stake F1 Kick Sauber Team also achieved a noteworthy increase in points, finishing with 70 points, an increase of 66 points from 2024. Yet, their effort only translated to a ninth-place finish, falling short of their aspirations. "We are pleased with our progress but recognize there is still much work ahead," shared a Sauber team official.
Furthermore, Alpine faced arguably the most significant downturn, finishing at the bottom of the standings with just 22 points, a drop of 45 points from the previous season’s sixth place. A team representative stated, "We need to analyze our performance closely and come back with a stronger plan for 2026."
As the dust settles after the 2025 season, the results highlight critical lessons for the teams. While McLaren and Williams can hold their heads high, others like Ferrari and Alpine will need to reassess and rebuild heading into next year. The 2026 season promises new challenges and opportunities as teams look to shift their fortunes on the track.
