Recording a blistering lap of 1m27.241s, Verstappen's performance reaffirmed his status as a formidable force on the grid.

"It’s always special to get pole, especially here in Miami with the atmosphere and the fans. The car felt great throughout the session," said Max Verstappen, the driver for Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Close behind him was Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari, who completed the qualifying rounds with a time of 1m27.382s. Leclerc spoke candidly about his efforts, mentioning, "We pushed hard in every session, but Max just had the edge today. We’ll keep our heads down and focus on the race."

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz also delivered an impressive performance, finishing in third place with a time of 1m27.455s. He acknowledged the competitive nature of the grid, stating, "It’s tough out there, and we know that every hundredth of a second counts. We will push for a good result on race day."

Sergio Perez, Verstappen's teammate, qualified fourth with a time of 1m27.460s. Perez highlighted the gradual improvements in the car, saying, "We made some good changes over the weekend, and I felt more comfortable today. I’m looking to capitalize on that in the race."

McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri followed closely, securing the fifth and sixth positions with times of 1m27.594s and 1m27.675s, respectively. Norris expressed his excitement for race day, noting, "We’re in a good spot, and I believe we can fight for points and maybe more if we play our cards right."

Elsewhere, the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team faced challenges, with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton qualifying seventh and eighth. Russell clocked in at 1m28.067s and expressed a mix of determination and disappointment, stating, "We had a solid start, but we could have been a bit quicker. We will analyze this and look to gain positions in the race."

Hamilton, who finished shortly after at 1m28.107s, echoed Russell's sentiments: "There’s definitely more pace in the car. This track is tricky, but we’ll work hard to extract maximum performance."

Completing the top ten was Nico Hulkenberg from MoneyGram Haas F1 Team and Yuki Tsunoda from Visa Cash App RB F1 Team, finishing ninth and tenth, respectively. Hulkenberg noted his team’s resilience, emphasizing, "We’ve been working hard, and it’s great to see our efforts rewarded with a top ten start."

As for the drivers who narrowly missed the cut for Q3, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, and others will look to capitalize on their positions during the race, striving to claw back any lost ground. Stroll maintained, "We have race pace, and that will be crucial."

The action on the track will ramp up on race day as teams strategize for the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. With pole position secured by Verstappen, the stakes will be high, as rivals seek to disrupt his winning momentum. The race promises to deliver thrilling competition, with fan fervor and strategic team decisions playing central roles in the outcome.
